Conquer Anorexia and Suicide

Julia’s Story

“Can you please help me?  I’m desperate, my wife is dying and the doctors say there is nothing they can do for her anymore!  I need someone that knows how to do deliverance and I cannot find anyone!” John exclaimed anxiously.  In desperation John turned to an Internet search to find someone in South Africa who could do deliverance on his wife.  He found our website and made a frantic call for help.

John’s wife suffered from anorexia, and tried to commit suicide numerous times.  John and his daughter, Amy, had to take turns to sleep at night in order to keep an eye on Julia, in fear that she will try to overdose on pills whilst they are asleep.  The effort tired them out and Julia was critically ill, given perhaps another two weeks to live by the doctors.

I was so shocked to see Julia the first time, as John carried her into our house on the farm.  She was just skin and bone.  Too weak to walk, or talk, she hardly registered anything that took place around her.  She was dying and it was easy to see, even for the untrained eye.  We lay her down on a mattress on the floor, as it was too painful for her to sit.  It was a good thing because the shock of seeing her already brought me to my knees and I had the sure knowledge that there was nothing that any person on earth could do for this woman anymore.  It was up to God and we were totally dependent on Him to move.

Deliverance is not something that many people get to do with and we have found it very helpful to first counsel people before we do deliverance.  This gives us the opportunity to discern what needs to be done and it also gives us the opportunity to explain to people what to expect.  In Julia’s case we were not afforded this opportunity.  This was an emergency and we could not stop to do the paperwork first.  Julia was brought directly from intensive care in hospital against doctor’s orders.  She was dying and we perceived the urgency of the matter.

Time slipped away that night as we urgently did spiritual warfare and deliverance on Julia.  God revealed a spirit unknown to us at that stage, by the name of Pharmakya. As soon as we addressed this spirit, it manifested with a strong smell of medicine.  We knew that God was at work and we continued until told us to allow Julia to rest.  They would be with us for the full weekend which gave us the opportunity to minister in several sessions.  By Sunday morning, Julia came walking into the house on her own strength – God’s miracle working power very evident to all of us.

John, Julia and Amy visited us two weeks later.  Julia had already gained 14 kilograms in the two weeks and has returned to her doctor for a check-up.  The doctor was overwhelmed and admitted that a miracle had indeed taken place, stating that God did what no doctor could do!

Julia now shines with life.  Her sparkling green eyes reflect the laughter which rings out in pure merriment. She has been blessed with natural curls and her thick, long chestnut hair surrounds her like a cloud.  She has a zest for life and it shows.  It’s a far cry from the lifeless body carried into our house on the farm.  Satan has come to steal, kill and destroy and he will use any method to obtain his goal.

I’ve come to the conclusion that all women have an inborn desire to be thinner, more beautiful, and as the years pass by, to look younger.  This desire can be good and inspire one to look your best and to take care of you self, yet Satan can turn this desire into an obsession if one allows it.  This is a real trap, especially where someone has a spirit of rejection.  It is so important to maintain a balance in everything in life.  Julia regained that balance and learned that it nearly cost her her life!  If you are confronted with a similar problem – God can and wants to help you.  We would be honored to pray with you and be witnesses of God’s miracle working power.
